The Rowena Group was established in 1988 to celebrate and communicate the teaching methodology of one of the most recognized design educators of the 20th century. She taught five generations of designers. Today, her teachings are part of industrial design programs worldwide.

Pratt Mourns Louis Nelson, Industrial Designer and Chair Emeritus of the Rowena Reed Kostellow Fund
Louis Nelson received his BID and MID at Pratt and was known for his design of the Korean War Veterans Memorial mural wall in Washington, DC.

2024 Rowena Award to Ayse Birsel, Bibi Seck, and Joshua Longo
